Paquera Mezcal Arroqueño
SAN ESTEBAN AMATLÁN is a sanctuary of biodiversity nestled deep within the central valleys of Oaxaca and embodies the region's distinction as one of Mexico's most ecologically diverse states. This village of fewer than 1,000 people is not merely connected to the craft of agave spirits- it is enshrined in a ritualistic devotion. For the family of Jeodolo, composed of four brothers and one sister, mezcal production is a collaborative art, with each member playing a vital role in cultivating their cherished agave species, arroqueño. They are proudly sharing this agave spirit outside of their village for the first time.
